Precious Pain

A warning of safety, I look in alarm
Assuredly, I am divided from harm
I scarcely believe it, my hope subsides
Something inside...some THING's inside!

My Accuser awakens; his malice derides
Penal-minded, he roves to atomize.
A glorious goliath I must have accosted
approaches within; I'm trapped in my stead.

His spindly fingers arc under my face
Like moonslivers, they form sterling, four-strand 'lace
I can feel the posterior pedestal collapse.
My Spirit an efflux, quiet as a rasp.

Without Soulful permission, he rescinds.
I fall from the force of the in-rushing God-winds.
In love with Soul's condemner;
Would it be so if Meat were slimmer?

The murderous glare from Breath to Bone,
Should they rend and be alone?
The contemptuous logic Bone wields at Breath,
In constant flux, til Life's heedless to Death.
